
The UW Green Bay Men’s basketball team fell to UW Milwaukee last night 63-49.
The game was still within reach at the half, as the Phoenix trailed by 7, but the Panthers turned it up in the second half, outscoring the Green Bay squad by another 7 points to secure the win.
UWM was led by DeAndre Gholston, who accounted for 16 points, while Josh Thomas added 13.
The Phoenix received a 22-point performance from Racine St. Catherin’s graduate Kamari McGee, while Japannah Kellogg III and Emmanuel Ansong both scored 10.
The Phoenix will try to right the ship and end their 7 game losing streak in Oakland tomorrow night as they take on the Golden Grizzlies.
The UW Green Bay Women meanwhile, return to action tonight at IUPUI.
This will be their first game since their December 20th game against Central Michigan.
The Phoenix enter the contest against the Jaguars at 7-4 on the season.
