
With the window to submit candidacy paperwork ending yesterday, we now know who will be running in the Spring Election in April.
According to County Clerk Jessica Backus, County Executive Bob Ziegelbauer was supposed to be challenged by Newton resident Maura Yost, but she did not qualify for ballot access.
There are 11 County Board seats are being contested.
In Supervisory District 1, James Lillibridge is challenging incumbent Mark Linsmeier, while Dave Nickels’ District 2 seat is being sought by Timothy Jadowski.
Morgan Sickinger is vying to oust Rita Metzger in District 3, Paul “Biff” Hansen is being challenged by Aaron Erdmann in District 6, and Norb Vogt is looking to keep his District 7 seat against Scott Schiesl.
In District 8, Michael Williams has announced that he is not seeking another term, however his name will still be on the ballot against Paul Hacker.
District 9’s Kenneth Sitkiewitz is being challenged by Anna Cain, Jamie Aulik’s District 11 seat is being challenged by Ryan Phipps, while in District 22, Denise Heller and Michael Grambow will look to fill the seat left vacant by David Dyzak, who announced he is not running for re-election.
It’s the same situation in District 23, where Ricky Henderson is stepping aside for either Tracy Koach, or Douglas Klein.
Lastly, Charles Hagen is looking to retain his District 24 seat against Don Weiss.
There are numerous other seats that are not contested, while Emily Walker is the only person running to be the Multi-Jurisdictional Municipal Judge for City of Two Rivers and Village of Mishicot.
