The Manitowoc County Health Department, along with several area hospitals and health organizations, is encouraging residents to participate in a community health telephone survey.
The Community Health Assessment (CHA) survey will provide valuable data for continued evaluation of community needs and help guide government, not-for-profit, and volunteer organizations as they fashion services to meet the most pressing health needs of the community.
JKV Research, an independent research firm that specializes in community surveys, and Management Decisions will be making calls to cell phones and landlines until they have reached 400 people allowing for results to be projectable to the county.
The anonymous survey will take about 17 minutes to complete.
No one from JKV Research or Management Decisions will ask for identifying information, and their questions will focus on issues such as access to primary care, substance abuse, and nutrition among other health topics.
