A former Appleton teacher convicted of having an inappropriate relationship with a student has been sentenced.
47-year-old Brian Dimmer will spend six months in jail after he pleaded no contest to charges of Causing a Child Aged 13-18 to View Sexual Activity and Soliciting an Intimate Representation from a minor.
Two other counts were dismissed but read into the record. Dimmer will be required to register as a sex offender and will be on probation for three years upon his release.
Dimmer was a teacher at Wilson Middle School and a coach at Appleton West High School at the time of the crimes but resigned after being charged.
