The trial for a 23-year-old man accused of killing and dismembering his parents is expected to last three weeks.
A jury was selected Monday in Dane County Court.
Chandler Halderson has pleaded not guilty to two counts of intentional homicide in the deaths of his parents, Valders natives Bart and Krista Halderson.
Authorities accuse him of providing false information about a kidnapping, plus two counts of mutilating a corpse, and two counts of hiding a corpse.
