There’s no more time. The Packers have to activate All-Pro cornerback Jaire Alexander today (December 29th) or lose him for the season.
Alexander suffered a shoulder injury in Week 4 against Pittsburgh.
He returned to practice three weeks ago and has taken part in every practice since.
The team has to either place him on its 53-man roster or give up on the idea of its best defensive back returning to game action.
Even though he has been sidelined for 11 games the pass defense has held up pretty well – with the performance of rookie Eric Stokes and the mid-season trade for Rasul Douglas.
