The student who is accused of attacking a special education teacher at Manitowoc Lincoln High School is due back in court today.
The yet unidentified individual scheduled to have their initial appearance on December 20th, but they failed to show.
According to court personnel, the Court is giving the student a second chance to do the right thing.
The student reportedly attacked the teacher on December 9th to such an extent that the teacher pressed charges.
While each teacher is different, we spoke with a special education teacher who said that she has been “bitten, scratched, and hit many times” but has never even considered pressing charges.
When asked what it would take to get her to press charges against a student, she said “I can’t even imagine.”
The student is due in court at 10:30 this morning. If they were to not show up again, a capias, or juvenile warrant, would be issued.
