A 30-year-old man accused of killing his former girlfriend will go on trial in Oneida County next August.
Christopher Terrell Anderson pleaded not guilty to one count of first-degree intentional homicide during a Monday hearing.
Prosecutors say Anderson plotted to kill Hannah Miller of Rhinelander and had a second man watch the victim’s apartment so he would know when she was home.
Authorities think he planned to kill Miller’s parents, too, so he could take the child he fathered with the dead woman.
Her body was found along a rural Oneida County road last summer.
Miller went into hiding and was finally arrested in Illinois in late August.
