Bucks center DeMarcus Cousins says he knows he’s not “there” yet, but he’s working on it.
The veteran played 27 minutes in the loss to the Cavaliers and he’s finding he has to round into shape during games instead of practice.
The 31-year-old athlete was an all-star just three years ago, but he’s been dealing with a torn Achilles, a blown quadriceps, and a ruptured anterior cruciate ligament.
When the Bucks signed him on November 30th he had been sidelined for five months.
In nine games Cousins is averaging five-point-eight points and just over five rebounds while playing 14 minutes.
With five teammates sick, hurt, or in the N-B-A COVID-19 protocols, the 6′ 10″, 270-pounder has been rushed into the action with little preparation.
