With the New Year comes resolutions.
The Manitowoc /Two Rivers YMCA will be hosting a community fitness challenge starting January 10th to help community members “hit the reset button”.
In a post on Facebook, the Y stated, “The pandemic has taken its toll on our minds and bodies. This challenge is about making a lifestyle change for the better, to strengthen our community, and help people become the best version of themselves.”
The fitness challenge will consist of two levels, one for people aged 18-49, and one for those 50 and older. Registration is $15 for Y members, and $65 for non-members.
Points are earned by time spent at the Y either in Group Exercise classes or in the Lifestyle Center/Weight Room/Tennis Center working out and being active with double points for attending special events such as the Nutrition Talk, Indoor 5K walk, various specialty classes, an evening of Pickleball, and a Mental Retreat.
Prizes will be awarded to the first and second place winners in each category.
