Just one day before it was scheduled to go into effect, the Kohler Company has suspended its vaccine mandate, but only for union members.
Sheboygan County’s largest employer had announced in October that all employees were to be vaccinated for COVID-19 prior to December 17th, a move which upset a number of individuals both within the company and in the public.
It also led to an official Union grievance being filed.
The grievance worked, as UAW Local 833 President Tim Tayloe announced that The Kohler Company has agreed to suspend the program as it applies to Union members.
The mandate remains in effect for employees not part of the union.
