The U-S Supreme Court won’t help a conservative think tank get a seat in press briefings held by Wisconsin Governor Tony Evers.
The court rejected the appeal from the John K. MacIver Institute for Public Policy which was filed two years ago.
The justices left in place lower court rulings supporting the decision by Evers’ office.
The Institute had sued, claiming the Democratic governor was violating its constitutional rights to free speech, freedom of the press, and equal access.
A federal judge ruled last year that MacIver can still report on the Democratic governor without being invited to the press briefings.
