
The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater’s season has ended one game short of the national championship showdown.
Mary Hardin-Baylor used a tough defense to win on the Warhawks’ field Saturday 24-7.
It was the 13th time in the last 16 seasons Whitewater has made it to the national semifinals.
The Warhawks were held to 64 yards rushing and 271 yards of total offense – well below their season averages.
Quarterback Max Meylor connected on 23-of-32 passes for 207 yards and a touchdown.
Tyler Holte had six receptions for 91 yards and his team’s only score.
Mark McGrath led the defense with 10 tackles.
Whitewater finishes the season with a 13-and-1 record.
