
The heavy winds experienced in Eastern Wisconsin yesterday claimed the life of a Sheboygan Falls woman and injured another.
According to the Sheboygan Falls Police and Fire Departments, crews were dispatched to an apartment in the 900 block of Broadway Street at around 6:45 AM to investigate a report of a tree falling onto an outdoor pavilion.
The caller reported that two women were trapped inside, but by the time rescue personnel arrived, a 63-year-old woman had freed herself.
The second victim, a 73-year-old woman, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Three vehicles were also damaged by the falling tree.
Names of the victims will not be released until the families are notified.
