
It may have started as a tight contest, but the Valders boys walked out of their home gym with a 72-40 victory over the visiting Two Rivers Raiders.
An 11-0 run by the Vikings led to a 33-22 lead at the break, and the dam completely broke in the second half.
The Vikings outscored the visiting Raiders 39-18 in the second half and win their EWC opener by 32.
Junior Cole Hove led the Vikings with 20 points, while Senior Brady Bodart scored 17, and Junior Jackson Olsen accounted for 11.
Two Rivers only had one player score in double digits.
That was Orian Gauger, who accounted for 14 of his team’s 40 points.
