A Fond du Lac man was arrested on an OWI charge following a crash in Fond du Lac County yesterday morning.
The crash occurred at around 10:00 AM on Kinker Road, just west of Highway 45.
The 47-year-old driver reportedly struck a piece of equipment owned by the Fond du Lac Highway Department, nearly hitting a crew member in the process.
The man fled from police, but witnesses helped authorities catch him.
The suspect was taken to an area hospital, where it determined he was under the influence of alcohol.
The man was taken into custody and is now facing his 5th OWI charge.
More charges may be coming as the investigation into the crash continues.
