
The trauma center at HSHS St. Vincent Hospital in Green Bay has again been verified by the American College of Surgeons (ACS) as a Level II Trauma Center.
St. Vincent has held this status for 23 years now and is one of only 13 trauma centers in Wisconsin to be verified by the ACS.
In 2020, HSHS St. Vincent Hospital Regional Trauma Center cared for 932 patients, which equates to nearly 3 trauma patients a day, every day.
According to a release from the hospital, 54% of their trauma patients suffered falls, 20% were admitted following a motor vehicle crash, and 7% were victims of a motorcycle crash.
Gunshots and knife wounds accounted for 6% of their patients in 2020.
