A trial date has been set for a man charged with the 1986 murder of Lisa Holstead in Green Bay.
Lou Griffin will return to court on February 28th after pleading not guilty to a charge of 1ST-Degree Intentional Homicide.
The 22-year-old Holstead’s body was found in a swamp on the Ken Euers Nature Area on August 12th, 1986, just 12 hours after she was last seen alive with her boyfriend.
Investigators were able to link Griffin to her murder via a DNA sample found a the scene, and beer cans and a cigarette discarded by Griffin.
Griffin initially denied ever seeing Holstead, but after being confronted with the DNA evidence said he may have had sex with the woman, but did not kill her.
His trial is planned to last for five days.
