The Pine County, Minnesota Sheriff’s Office confirms that remains found over the weekend are those of 33-year-old Ashley Miller-Carlson from Grantsburg, Wisconsin.
A crew from Christian Aid Ministries discovered the remains Saturday on Mille Lacs Band of Ojibwe lands in Ogema Township.
Carlson was last seen near Hinckley on September 23rd and her car was found abandoned in the area.
Deputies say the Midwest Medical Examiner’s Office positively identified Carlson’s body.
Investigators are still looking into her disappearance.
No other information was released.
