The Emerald Ash Borer has been making headlines around the state for the better part of a year, as this invasive insect has been destroying a multitude of trees.
The Sheboygan Rotary Club/Restoration Of Our Trees Sheboygan (ROOTS) and Lakeshore Natural Resource Partnership (LNRP) will host a special open house and informational session to teach the public about the insect, and what the organizations are doing to address the issue.
The workshop will be held on the evening of Tuesday, November 30th from 6:00-8:00 pm at Maywood Environmental Center in Sheboygan.
Representatives from all Towns and Villages in Sheboygan County have been invited to attend.
The session will highlight technical and funding resources available to these municipalities.
For more information on the program, either call Tony Fessler from ROOTS at 920-946-6770 or Tom Mlada from the LNTP at 262-573-8736.
