Manitowoc County now has a new Agriculture Educator.
Angie Ulness has accepted the position and will begin in her new role in the county on December 15th.
Following the retirement of Scott Gunderson from UW Extension, it didn’t appear as though that role would be filled, so Manitowoc County took things into their own hands.
Thanks to years of smart budgeting, the County had plenty of reserve cash built up, so they were able to pay for this new position out of their own pocket.
Ulness has been very active in the Ag community, as she and her family have been operating a dairy farm in the County since 2002.
She has also been active in 4-H, and the Manitowoc County Breeders, and has been a 4-H Dairy Judging Coach and a member of the Professional Dairy Producers of Wisconsin.
