Authorities in Dodge County say a child using a lighter likely caused a Brownsville apartment fire early Sunday.
Fire crews were called to the scene shortly after 7:30 a-m.
There were four apartments in the building and all were evacuated.
The smoke and water damage to two of the apartments means those residents have been displaced.
It isn’t clear if the other residents will be able to return.
One adult was evaluated by medical personnel for possible smoke inhalation but didn’t require hospitalization.
A child suffered a minor burn but didn’t require first aid.
Investigators say no criminal charges are expected.
