What are you thankful for this year?
After a year that saw a pandemic take over the world, and racial tension cause so much violence and death, today is a day where we all need to take a step back and be thankful for what we have.
We asked around the office and around town what people are thankful for this year, and a majority of people responded with their family.
A teller at Fox Communities Credit Union told us she was thankful for “just starting a new job.”
WCUB’s Craig Dillion said that he was thankful for “Being employed for starters, having a roof over my head, everything that I have, and my charming and talented coworkers.”
On a more serious note, Sandy Davis from Lake 98.1 said simply, “I’m thankful for life.”
John Foster of Creative Business Services had a similar point, saying he is thankful for “my health. We take health for granted as we get older. It’s so important, so I am thankful not only for my health, but for my family’s [health].”
Jim Medley may have summed it up the best.
He said he is thankful for “Everything. We are so lucky in life. We have so much, and we just need to stop, and be thankful for everything that we have, not what we don’t have.”
Be sure to take some time for yourself this Thanksgiving Day, and just be happy for what you have, and for those who love and support you.
