A spokesperson for AAA Wisconsin says it remains to be seen if the release of 50-million barrels of oil from the country’s strategic oil reserves has the intended effect.
The Biden administration authorized the release Tuesday.
AAA’s Nick Jarmusz says we won’t really know what the effect will be for another week or so.
The average price for a gallon of regular gas was $3.11 Tuesday in Wisconsin.
The national average was $3.40 a gallon.
