Many area businesses and organizations are looking to give back next Tuesday for the 9th annual Giving Tuesday celebration.
This annual movement encourages individuals and organizations to give of their time or money to help the communities they are in.
The Board of Directors for the Green Bay-based Jackie Nitschke Center is joining the celebration, as they have pledged to match every dollar donated to their organization on Tuesday, November 30th up to $5,000.
The money raised will go to the center, which helps those in northeast Wisconsin who are battling substance abuse.
Michelle Pierquet-Hohner, JNC’s Director of Community & Donor Engagement, said that these donations “Will go a long way to help us meet the need in the community which has grown significantly since the start of the pandemic.”
