Authorities in Fond du Lac have identified their “Jane Doe” 13 years after her body was found.
Amy Marie Yeary from Rockford, Illinois was 18 years old when she died.
Hunters found her remains in 2008.
Her body was exhumed in 2018 so forensic testing could be conducted that wasn’t available before.
Dental X-rays and a comparison of D-N-A from her mother and sister determined her identity.
The teenager was last heard from when she called her mother saying she was in Beloit and asking for a ride home.
Yeary was a victim of human trafficking and had been living as a transient in the weeks before she died.
Now authorities want to know how she died.
