Three people and their pets were displaced after a fire in Appleton yesterday morning.
The Appleton Fire Department responded to the home in the 700 block of North Division Street at around 10:30 AM, where they found flames burning the backside of the home.
The two adult residents, their child, and three pets were able to escape without injury, but their home was listed as uninhabitable.
The damage was estimated at around $60,000, and the fire was reportedly started by the improper disposal of smoking materials.
The Appleton Fire Department is reminding smokers to always dispose of their materials properly and to keep flammable materials away from the ashtray.
