The Plymouth Common Council will be honoring two individuals this evening.
First, Mayor Don Pohlman will honor former Alderman Jerry Matzdorf for his service to the city. Matzdorf passed away on October 30th after a battle with COVID-19.
He served on the Common Council for 18 months prior to his death at the age of 46.
Also being honored is now retired K9 Officer Zoey. Zoey retired on November 15th after being deployed into action 385 times.
In those deployments, Zoey made 145 arrests, with over 100 of those being felony drug cases, and also helped seize five illegal guns and over $50,000.
The Common Council meeting is scheduled to begin at 7:00 PM.
