A mother in Taylor County has been charged with child neglect after her two-year-old was hit and killed by a train.
The fatal accident in Lublin happened last June.
Investigators say the child wasn’t being supervised and was seen walking down a street in just a diaper shortly before he was hit.
Witnesses have told authorities 31-year-old Natasha Bratland’s children were often seen without adult supervision and playing in unsafe areas.
Authorities say the train operator did try to stop.
Bratland returns to court next month.
No charges have been filed against the child’s father.
