The marijuana laws in Wisconsin may be changing.
Republican Assemblyman Shae Sortwell of Two Rivers, along with fellow Republican Senator Kathleen Bernier, and Democrats Senator Lena Taylor, and Representative Sylvia Ortiz-Velez will unveil their marijuana reform legislation this morning in Madison.
According to a news release from Sortwell, “the overall introduction of the bill will include more than a dozen legislators from both parties. The proposed legislation is a common-sense effort that encompasses a variety of opinions from both sides to bring Democrats and Republicans together.”
Marijuana laws have been slowly changing throughout the United States, and the 2nd Assembly District Representative says, “it is time for Wisconsin to engage in this national discussion.”
