The Wisconsin Badgers have moved up four spots to number-20 in the A-F-C-A Coaches Poll this week.
Wisconsin won its sixth consecutive game in a 35-7 decision over Northwestern.
Other Big Ten teams – Michigan State, Michigan, and Ohio State – each jumped up one spot this week.
The Iowa Hawkeyes stayed at number-14 and Penn State dropped out of the poll. Georgia remains at the top, followed by Alabama.
The Badgers wrap up their home season against Nebraska Saturday with a game starting at 2:30 p-m.
Also, Badgers senior cornerback Faion Hicks faces a unique situation.
He is eligible to return for a sixth season.
Hicks leads Wisconsin with nine passes broken up.
He can’t play another season because the N-C-A-A decided last year doesn’t count against eligibility due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Hicks says he is “definitely” thinking about playing another season.
He says he has talked to coach Hank Poteet about it.
If he doesn’t, this Saturday’s game against Nebraska would be the last one he plays at Camp Randall Stadium.
