The Wisconsin Badgers’ new women’s basketball coach is getting off on the right foot.
Freshman Krystyna Ellew scored 29 points in her first start as coach Maria Moseley’s team whipped the St. Thomas Tommies Wednesday 67-51.
Things were close for a quarter, then the Badgers went on a 15-4 run.
Ellew was 9-of-15 from the field and 3-of-5 on three-pointers.
The Wisconsin women’s program hosts the New Jersey Institute of Technology Friday.
