More defense witnesses are on the stand today (Thursday) in the Kenosha homicide trial of Kyle Rittenhouse.
One of them was use-of-force expert John Black, who was only supposed to testify about the timing of the protest shootings last August.
Prosecutor Thomas Binger objected to Black’s testimony saying he was on the verge of violating the judge’s pre-trial order.
Binger said Black was not to testify about the intent of Joseph Rosenbaum, the first man shot and killed by Rittenhouse. But after debate Judge Bruce Schroeder said Black’s testimony could continue.
Binger told the judge he wasn’t being treated fairly and the defense should be held to the same standards. Black said someone fired a first shot in the air less than three seconds before Rittenhouse fatally shot Rosenbaum.
