
One person has been taken into police custody following a disturbance in Appleton yesterday evening.
The incident was reported to police at around 5:30 PM, and officers were dispatched to Woodmere Court near Silvercrest Drive.
When officers arrived, they entered the apartment, and a man whom the residents did not know, barricaded himself inside the residence with a knife.
Officers negotiated with the man for around 90 minutes, and he was arrested without further incident.
The suspect, whose name has not been released, has been charged with Burglary While Armed, Suffocation/Strangulation, False Imprisonment, Failure to Comply, and Violation of Probation.
