The Milwaukee County Zoo will start vaccinating animals against the coronavirus.
Zoo officials say about 50 animals will get vaccinated starting next week. Big cats, apes, and the otters are among the first.
There have been no COVID-19 cases among the animals at the zoo, but zookeepers say it’s possible. The zoo has more than 2000 animals, so 50 is just a tiny percentage.
The hope is to have the first 50 animals vaccinated by the end of the year.
