Badgers running back Braelon Allen has been named Big Ten Freshman of the Week for a second time.
He ran for 129 yards and a touchdown in Wisconsin’s 52-3 win at Rutgers last weekend.
That gives Allen five straight games of 100 yards or more.
The last time a freshman produced like that was Anthony Davis in 2001.
With the team’s other running back, Chez Mellusi, dealing with an injury problem, it’s possible Allen will carry the ball a lot more than 15 times when the Badgers take on Northwestern Saturday.
