There will be some more greenage at nine parks in Sheboygan.
Crews began planting trees at Optimist Park on Saturday, as they attempt to replace trees infected by the Emerald Ash Borer.
The project is a collaborative effort between the Sheboygan Rotary Club’s Restoration Of Our Trees Sheboygan, or ROOTS initiative, Alliant Energy Foundation’s Million Trees Program, the City, and Sheboygan County.
The ROOTS initiative has already replaced trees in six City parks this year, with the second phase planned for next year.
