A Manitowoc man is facing charges after a physical altercation with his now ex-girlfriend.
Officers were sent to an apartment in the 1700 block of Cedar Grove Drive at around 8:30 AM on November 3rd to investigate a report of fraudulent use of a debit card.
The victim told authorities that her 19-year-old ex-boyfriend had made several unauthorized purchases with her debit card, and that he had slapped and kicked her several times.
Three others were on hand, who verified the abuse.
The victim was referred to the InCourage Domestic Violence Center, and a probable cause affidavit was filed for the suspect’s arrest.
The affidavit was forwarded to the District Attorney’s office today for charges of Battery and Disorderly Conduct, both with Domestic Violence Enhancers, to be filed against the suspect.
At last word, the suspect has not been located.
