A 17-year-old student at Madison East High School has been charged with two felonies for an alleged sexual assault.
Baboucarr Nyang was taken into custody last week. Investigators say he strangled and sexually assaulted the victim at a homecoming house party last month.
The victim told police she never consented to any sexual contact. She says she repeatedly swore at Nyang and “told him no.”
The incident resulted in the East High School principal, Sean Leavy, being reassigned after protests over the way he handled the allegations.
