The Manitowoc Public School District could change its masking policy soon.
In a letter sent to families and staff, the District explained that they have been having discussions regarding face coverings being optional following the semester break, which is on January 19th.
The reason for the delay is because the District wants to allow for extra protection after the Christmas holiday, as many people will be seeing family members that they do not live with.
It was also stated in the Covid Plan, that “if a student or staff member is unable to wear a facial covering due to a medical reason, they will need to fill out a facial covering exemption.”
