A 24-year-old man is being treated at a Milwaukee hospital with life-threatening injuries following a crash in Sheboygan County last night.
According to SGT Ryan Kelly with the Sheboygan County Sheriff’s Department, that man was driving at a high speed and recklessly on I-43 South near the Town of Wilson at around 10:30 PM, when he slammed into the back of an armored semi.
The man was flown from the scene near Highway B to Froedtert Hospital via a Life Net helicopter.
His name and hometown have not yet been released.
The driver of the semi did not report any injuries.
Alcohol is believed to have been a factor in the crash.
All southbound lanes were closed off for around two hours while the investigation was conducted, and crews cleared the scene.
