Reports indicate Brewers outfielder Jackie Bradley Junior will exercise his $9.5 million player option.
He had a lost season in Milwaukee this summer – with a .163 batting average, just six homers in 428 plate appearances and an O-P-S of 34.
Bradley did provide elite defense and it is hard to say what his role will be next season.
J-B-J deciding to stay with the Brewers isn’t as expensive for the team as you might think.
His buyout was $6.5 million. The Brewers also announced the signing of pitcher Trevor Gott Wednesday.
He was in Triple-A most of last season, playing in the Giants organization.
