One of the two men involved in a hit and run incident on Rapids Road in Manitowoc last summer has been sentenced.
33-year-old Adam Robert Jahnke of De Pere will spend a year and a half in prison, followed by two and a half years on extended supervision.
Jahnke and Jesse R. Kenwabikise were driving at a high rate of speed on July 13th, 2020, when Jahnke lost control of his vehicle.
His vehicle struck Kenwabikise’s vehicle, which in turn hit an SUV.
The driver of the SUV suffered an unspecified injury, and the two men fled on foot. They were later taken into police custody.
Jahnke was found guilty due to a no-contest plea on charges of 1st Degree Recklessly Endangering Safety, and Hit and Run Involving Injury, and will be required to pay the victim a $500 restitution fine.
He will also be required to maintain absolute sobriety upon his release, and keep a full-time job, schooling, or job search combination.
