
A man known for being the voice of WCUB Radio for decades has passed away.
Bob Irish was 85 years old when he passed away the evening of October 31st at Rivers Bend Health and Rehabilitation Center in Manitowoc.
Irish began his radio career in Sheboygan at WSHE.
He moved to Manitowoc in 1957, when he was hired by WCUB. Irish was the face and voice of The Breakfast Club radio program, which aired live from McDonald’s Monday through Friday.
He was also known for his Saturday morning program where he told the history of Manitowoc County.
Irish is survived by his wife Judy, whom he had been married to for 38 years, as well as his three daughters.
Private services will be held this Friday at Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home, with a public Life Celebration Social scheduled to follow from 4:00 until 6:00 PM at the Harrigan Parkside Gathering Center, located at 620 North Water Street in Manitowoc.
In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate memorials to a memorial fund that is being established in Bob’s name.
