A retired police chief from Brown County will serve another ten years in federal prison on child pornography charges.
The US Attorney’s Office says 52-year-old Alexander Bebris had a substantial amount of recently downloaded child porn when authorities searched his home in August.
Bebris was already convicted of distributing child pornography on Facebook Messenger and sentenced to five years. He was free while appealing his conviction when investigators found the additional images of children including some as young as age three.
Bebris was formerly the police chief in Oakwood, Ohio. He ran for Outagamie County sheriff in 2018.
