Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers has tested positive for COVID-19.
The reigning NFL MVP has been put on the Reserve/COVID-19 List and will miss Sunday’s game in Kansas City against the Chiefs. There are conflicting reports on whether Rodgers is vaccinated.
He says he was immunized when asked this summer but some sources say he was deemed unvaccinated meaning that he must sit out 10 days and Jordan Love is expected to make his first NFL start Sunday against the Chiefs. COVID-19 has been making its way through the Packer organization.
Wide receivers Davante Adams and Alan Lazard were put on the COVID 19/Reserve list last week. Lazard was activated Monday while Head Coach Matt LaFleur says he’s expecting Adams back tomorrow.
Defensive Coordinator Joe Barry has yet to return after missing last weeks game at Arizona after testing positive and reports say that practice squad quarterback Kurt Benkert has COVID-19 has also been placed on the Reserve/COVID-19 list.
