The Kenosha County jury has been selected and opening statements will be offered this morning in the homicide trial for Kyle Rittenhouse.
20 jury members – 11 men and 9 women – were selected during an all-day process Monday.
Rittenhouse is accused of killing two protesters and wounded a third last year during rioting in Kenosha following the shooting of Jacob Blake.
The jury will have to decide whether Rittenhouse fired his semi-automatic rifle in self-defense or was acting as a vigilante.
The jury members will be in the courtroom for the entire trial, then Kenosha County Judge Bruce Schroeder will determine which 12 will deliberate to a verdict.
