The Brewers need a new hitting coach and one of the best has suddenly become available.
ReviewingTheBrew.com says Milwaukee needs to hire Tim Hyers.
He declined an offer to stay with the Boston Red Sox after building an offense as good as any team.
Hyers is given credit for helping outfielder Mookie Betts become an M-V-P hitting by getting him away from his groundball-heavy approach and identifying pitches he could drive.
Brewers outfielder Christian Yelich could use that kind of help.
Maybe Hyers could unlock the potential Keston Hiura showed as a rookie two seasons ago.
So far, it’s all speculation.
There have been no reports of talks between the team and Hyers yet.
