It was a battle of the top-ranked volleyball teams in their section Saturday as #2 Manitowoc Lincoln took on top ranked Oconomowoc Saturday in the Sectional Championship match.
Oconomowoc proved why they were ranked #1 as they swept Lincoln in straight sets, 25-13, 25-19, and 25-14.
In Division 4, Hilbert was also eliminated by #1 seed Monticello in straight sets.
It’s not all bad news for eastern Wisconsin, as three teams did advance to the state tournament.
In Division 1, Appleton North swept Kimberly to advance, while Luxemburg-Casco did the same to Mosinee in their Division 2 matchup.
Also, the top seed in their Division 3 bracket, Howards Grove beat up on Kenosha Christian Life, also winning in straight sets.
