One of the most controversial homicide cases in Kenosha County history gets underway today (November 1st).
Jury selection will start in the homicide case against Illinois teenager Kyle Rittenhouse, who is accused of shooting three men during protests following the police wounding of Jacob Blake.
His trial will put on display the polarization of America.
Millions of dollars were donated by his supporters to cover legal expenses for Rittenhouse.
Opponents see his actions in August of last year as an example of vigilantes taking to the streets with guns.
Rittenhouse is claiming self-defense in the shootings of Joseph Rosenbaum, Anthony Huber, and Gaige Grosskreutz.
Only Grosskreutz survived.
The trial is expected to last two to three weeks.
